We are excited to share the news that, as of today, our campaign has raised $870,700 from more than 30 pledges!
To date, all members of the Vestry and Campaign Committee have made, or are in the process of making, pledges to this important effort for our congregation. Going forward, we will be reaching out to more members of the parish in the coming weeks and months to ask you to consider making your own pledge.
We are inviting all parish members to attend an event in the coming weeks to learn more. These informal gatherings will encourage open conversation about the campaign. These are informational sessions only, and no one will be asked to make a gift or pledge at that time. Please see below for dates, times, and locations.
St. Paul’s aspires to have our physical property reflect our values: welcome, inclusion, acceptance and belonging. Our parish leadership has identified a project list designed to allow our parish home to extend a sense of these values to everyone. The list includes refurbishing St. Margaret’s Garden, overhauling our 30-year-old elevator, improvements to our well-used kitchen, installing a permanent ramp to enter our worship space, continued restoration of stained glass, updates to the electronics of our pipe organ, updates to our sound systems, renovations to bathrooms, and other items.
The work funded by this campaign has already begun. Today, work began on the major repair of our elevator. We hope to have the elevator fully functional before Easter. In a couple of weeks, the repairs and upgrades to our sanctuary and undercroft sound systems will begin. Again, we hope to have these completed before Easter.
This campaign also aspires to continue the values of our shared ministry well into the future by inviting everyone in the parish to consider leaving a gift to St. Paul’s as part of their estate or legacy plans. We have already received notification of eight planned gifts to ensure the stability of St. Paul’s ministry in the future.
At the conclusion of the campaign, we will celebrate together, and all campaign gifts will be marked by an engraved brick in the renovated St. Margaret’s Garden. We look forward to these continued conversations and invite you to participate.
Peace,
Ginny Barnicoat and Kathleen Davies, Campaign Co-Chairs
The Rev. Noah H. Evans, Rector
